Kosta Browne One Sixteen Chardonnay 2016 750ml

The 2016 growing season was a relatively smooth operation offering little resistance and virtually no surprises during harvest.  A common thread witnessed across many wineries was the vigor and stamina of primary fermentations.  Allowing the yeast to take its’ course naturally, fermentations went bone dry with virtually zero encouragement strategies which winemakers are often forced to consider.  After the drought and resulting lower yields of 2015, we welcomed a healthy amount of rain and a generous crop of exceptionally high-quality fruit.
