The 2021 Càirdeas edition is tripled matured: first in American Oak ex-Bourbon Barrels, then Quarter Casks, and finally in European Oak Hogsheads containing PX sherry. Each cask combines to create a complex expression full of character, and like all Laphroaig releases, Càirdeas 2021 PX Cask does not compromise on quality – bottled at cask strength to ensure the rich and intricate flavours come through on this distinct and unique expression.

Each year a limited-edition bottling from the Càirdeas series is crafted by John Campbell, the Laphroaig Distillery Manger, to celebrate Friends of Laphroaig, which started in 1994 for friends, fans, and followers to join from all over the world. Càirdeas means friendship and the annual release of the Càirdeas series has become a collectible among Laphroaig’s most loyal friends and rewards their allegiance.

Bottled at natural cask strength of 58.9%, Laphroaig® Càirdeas 2021 is aged in ex-Bourbon barrels, quarter casks and Pedro Ximenez hogsheads. Created specially for Friends of Laphroaig.
