In 1913, Louie left Greece and came to America bringing with him his love for horses and whiskey. While in Kentucky, he visited the eponymous Kentucky Derby, where he had his first sip of Bourbon and placed his first ever bet on a horse named Lucky – with 100:1 odds. Lucky won that day, inspiring Louie to open his own distillery and create his own fortuitous bourbon, Louie’s Luck.
