In the glass, the wine displays a nearly opaque purple-ruby hue. On the nose, there are aromas of black currant, blackberry cassis anise, and sweet and sour plum with a hint of black and red licorice. The palate opens with ripe plum, graham, and brown sugar with blackberries and white pepper notes. The wine is balanced with soft tannins and a med-long finish. Age for 7-12 years.

Potently ripe and saturated in flavor, this full-bodied and nicely grippy wine offers black cherries, dark chocolate, and mint on an almost syrupy-rich texture. Firm tannins support the richness for a plush expression overall. Best from 2026. WE 92pts
