The Cooper is made from 100% malted barley, distilled in the Highlands of Scotland. It is matured for 10 years in American Oak barrels, which previously held Bourbon, before being transferred into handcrafted Limousin Oak Octaves for finishing. Much of the flavor of Whisky comes from the cask, meaning the knowledge & skill of the Cooper is one of the most important components of creating a superb Whisky. Master Cooper John Neilly’s choice for this Whisky was to handcraft old style Octave casks from Limousin Oak which had been seasoned by XO Cognac.
The Cooper is bottled in Scotland at 46% alc. by vol. (92 Proof) without chill.
